What’s New at AHM: Store Launches, Trade Events & Regional Growth

The past few months at AHM have brought exciting developments across our merchandising network. From new store openings and increased regional coverage to meaningful supplier engagement at major trade events, we’re proud to share how our team is helping brands grow one shelf, store, and region at a time.

Store Launches in Narre Warren & Portland

Two new Bunnings locations, Narre Warren in Melbourne’s southeast and Portland in western Victoria, opened recently, and AHM supported both from day one.

New store launches are a critical part of our hardware store merchandising model. Our team ensures each site is fully merchandised, supplier ranges are correctly presented, and Bunnings team members are equipped with essential product knowledge.

These early interactions are key to building long-term supplier trust and establishing strong in-store sales.

We’re pleased to report that Narre Warren is already seeing strong supplier performance, while Portland has benefited from a seamless setup that reflects the unique needs of regional retail.

Expanding Field Coverage in VIC & SA

Portland acts as a gateway to the western corridor, so AHM has appointed a full-time merchandiser to support five key stores across western Victoria and eastern South Australia. This investment ensures consistent coverage in previously underserved areas, a strategic move that reinforces our commitment to regional hardware store merchandising.

The role allows us to respond quickly to supplier needs, maintain a high standard of in-store execution, and strengthen our presence in growing demand.

Trade Events & Training Opportunities

Our team has also been on the ground at recent Bunnings Trade Expos, where we’ve had the chance to connect with suppliers and end-user customers. These expos offer valuable insight into how our supplier products are used in the trade sector and how we can better support those relationships in-store.

Looking ahead, AHM will also represent Silvan Australia at upcoming “Tools on the Green” events. These sessions provide retail teams with hands-on product education while giving us further insight into product performance and customer feedback.
